The List Of Women Nominated By Buhari In His Next Level Ministerial List

It was earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has transmitted the ministerial list to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Recall President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday, declared the information to the public during plenary on Tuesday.

As earlier reported, the list forwarded to the National Assembly contains 43 names and some individuals that served during the President’s first term in office were not considered for the “next level.”

Naija News, however, observed from the list sent to the National Assembly, that only seven women were nominated for possible appointment as ministers.

Below are those nominated:

1. Gbemisola Saraki

2. Sharon Ikeazor

3. Sadiya Farouk

4. Paulen Tallen

5. Ramatu Tijani

6. Zainab Ahmed

7. Maryam Katagum

The screening of the nominees will commence during plenary on Wednesday, 24th July as confirmed by Senate President Lawan.

President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Lawan Lawan has read out a 43 man list of ministerial nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari for confirmation. Screening of the ministers will commence at the plenary tomorrow.
